All dynamic teams need the vital resource that keeps the information flowing and the wheels turning. At Vucurevich|Simons Advisory Group, we’re fortunate to have this very important resource in Suzi Balamaci. When it comes to project coordination and traffic management, she is VSAG’s essential ingredient. Whether coordinating a project plan from A to Z or communicating effectively with new and current clients so their expectations are exceeded, Suzi is able to to keep the information flowing through all parts of the company.
As a graduate from the University of Maryland with a Fine Arts degree, Suzi built a career path through media and advertising positions, while also building her own portfolio and reputation as an artist. Her career began as a Production Manager for a small law publications company. She supervised and produced monthly legal journals as well as managed direction and training of various mailing teams for the distribution of publications.
After her time working in publishing Suzi moved on to advertising working as a Creative Project Manager for RTCdirect in Georgetown, DC, where she coordinated internal approvals for creative deliverables, including routing copy, comps, type mechanicals and proofs, all while maintaining open lines of communication within the project teams by leading daily status and progress meetings.
Her next role took her to Alexandria, VA to another, smaller, advertising firm as the sole Traffic Manager. This is where Suzi ensured there was a workflow environment conducive to the production of creative marketing solutions. Through the facilitation of efficient communications between departments, she guaranteed that interdepartmental expectations were met and provided account services with accurate and detailed project cost estimates.
Suzi’s next step was joining JCPenney Corporate Headquarters Media Department in Plano, TX, as a Senior Assistant Buyer for Print Media. Her responsibilities and multitasking at JCP Media L.P. were infinite. She put in long hours while compiling intricate specifications for target marketing mass and entity direct mailers. She evaluated and analyzed print and paper costs for direct and target marketing, regional advertising and monthly credit advertising costs to appropriate departments, all while securing bids from suppliers for print and paper.
Suzi has been part of VSAG since early 2004, and enjoys the many responsibilities she has for the company as it grows and evolves.
